Stinnett Music has been in business since 1978.

"My wife Jamie and I had just moved from Oregon to Texas so I could play in the One O'Clock Lab Band.  I was performing music nightly as a professional bassist and teaching a few students.  I began to make my own materials to use with my students.  In 1980 we published our first two official books, The Music Of Paul Chambers and Creating Jazz Bass Lines."
